Chapter 334: Leaving Higher Domain #3, Back to Higher Domain #1
Chapter 334: Leaving Higher Domain #3, Back to Higher Domain #1
"I’ll miss this place a little bit," Celeste sighed softly, "It was pretty intense and scary at times but... it was also a lot of fun."
"Agreed," Leon nodded, "We will come back to it at some point once we are all much stronger than we are now."
The [Guardians] and [Awakener Lord] were too much of a threat for Leon to simply leave them behind without a plan to deal with them eventually.
He had no idea if they were allied with any gods or not, but the sheer fact that they had been this aggressive toward him meant he could not allow them to remain unchallenged.
Especially Mathilde, he would definitely kill her one day with his own hands, or even better, once Celeste got stronger, she would be the one to do it herself as revenge.
Leon opened his [World Map] in front of him, allowing the glowing interface to appear before his eyes, and he immediately used the [Domain Travel] feature to start the process.
The interface expanded before them, revealing a vast void filled with one hundred glowing circles, each one representing a different [Higher Domain] that he could travel to.
Ding!
[Do you wish to teleport to "Higher Domain #1"?]
Leon was about to agree and confirm the teleportation, but right as he was about to press the button, a second panel appeared out of nowhere and caught his attention.
This one was a deep crimson color and had a powerful aura radiating from it, making Leon instinctively gaze at it with narrowed eyes.
[The "Awakener Lord" wishes you good luck, though he hopes that you will come back to challenge him, he seeks a worthy opponent, after all.]
’...So that fucker knows we are leaving right now,’ Leon’s eyes narrowed with suspicion, ’I guess that is good that he is letting us go without any more trouble, but I do not trust him.’
Leon confirmed his teleportation to [Higher Domain #1], but as the three of them turned into glowing particles and began to fade away, he opened his mouth one last time to say something.
"We’re going to come back and whoop your ass, awakener lord, so just you wait for us!"
Whether he actually heard that final message or not did not matter to Leon in the slightest.
He was absolutely sure that this was exactly what would happen in the future when he returned.
Then just like that, the trio disappeared out of the domain completely, leaving nothing behind but fading particles under the watchful gaze of the four guardians and the awakener lord himself in their chamber.
"Is letting them leave like this really the smart thing to do?" Mathilde asked with a grumpy expression, crossing her arms, "We could have just killed them right now before they became too troublesome to handle later..."
"I agree with her for once, the sheer fact that they have a way to teleport out of this domain whenever they want is rare enough to be concerning," Marcus nodded in agreement.
"No, this is the right move," Aiden, the awakener lord, shook his head slowly with a wide grin spreading across his face, "This is the greatest opportunity I have ever had yet, a player who actually seems strong enough to eventually challenge me at my full power."
All the guardians knew about Aiden’s true goal from the very start of their service to him, but they had never believed that anyone like this would ever actually appear in their domain.
So seeing that the awakener lord had taken genuine interest into someone, especially a human player, was something they had never witnessed before in all their years here.
Either way, they could not do much about it now since the trio was already gone, so they would simply have to wait, and secretly hope that this troublesome trio never actually came back.
Fwoosh! Ding!
[You have arrived at "Higher Domain #1"]
Leon, Celeste and Emilia reappeared in a flash of light and hit the ground of the new domain, and immediately looked around at their surroundings to get their bearings.
"We are back at [Divine Academy City]," Leon noted as they had appeared right in the entrance square of the city, "That is actually perfect, saves us time walking."
"What is that place?" Emilia asked curiously, since she had not actually been with them back when they had first gone through the academy events.
Celeste quickly explained the entire thing to her, as well as the [Entrance Examination Event] that they had to go through to become students at the academy.
"But that means you guys are both students and I am not," Emilia spoke with a slightly worried tone, "And since there is a level limit to join, I will not be able to do the examination at all..."
"It does not matter at all," Leon patted the elf girl’s head reassuringly, "I did not plan to head back to that academy no matter what, I simply enrolled in the first place to... see something specific."
"Oh, okay then," Emilia quickly recovered her cheerful demeanor, "I thought I would have to wait outside while you two did things!"
Leon also had enemies he needed to kill in this higher domain, and he had never forgotten about them even after everything that had happened.
More precisely, Dominik, the chairman of [Divine Academy], as well as all the corrupt teachers who worked under him.
They were all directly linked to the [God of War] and the [God of Magic] after all.
But much like the guardians and the awakener lord back in the previous domain, all of these enemies were level one hundred, making it impossible for him to attempt to kill them in a fair fight right now.
His best shot would be to simply drop the [Oblivion Meteor] on top of them all and be done with it, but that would increase his [Slaughter Meter] to ten thousand instantly, sealing his fate as the [Judgment Knight] would appear to deal with him.
Leon had been completely fine with doing that when he was surrounded by the guardians back in the street, because it had been a matter of life and death in that moment.
But since there was nothing here in this city that truly threatened him or his companions right now, he would rather do it the "normal" way and simply overpower Dominik and those teachers through his own growing strength.
"We got nothing to do in this city right now anyway," Leon shrugged casually, "Lets just head to the next place and keep moving forward."
