Chapter 1016 - 970: Lost in the West
"That’s different. I’ve booked the section of the sea where we’re going swimming."
Sienna Johnson looked down at her clothes; the swimsuit she’s wearing was picked out by Adrian Desmond himself. She was surprised back then at how open-minded Adrian seemed, but now she understood.
"Wow... Sixth Master, you’re really impressive. I’ve only heard of people booking a restaurant to please a woman; who would’ve thought someone could book a whole sea?"
"..."
"How much does it cost to book a sea? Money is truly a wonderful thing. When I get back, I need to work hard to earn a lot too."
"..."
"Is it just the two of us in that sea?"
Sienna pictured the beautiful sea with just her and Adrian... Walking hand-in-hand along the beach... Although a bit extravagant, isn’t it romantic?
"Yeah, no one will bother us. We can even make love by the sea."
The beautiful romantic scene was like a balloon popped by a needle, bursting with a bang.
This is typical of Adrian; he always has a way of turning something that should be romantic into something tacky.
"First, it was the Apavian Sea trip, then the sea-view room, then booking a sea... Adrian, you’re doing all of this just to make love to me, aren’t you?" Sienna frowned and asked.
"Yes."
Sienna was left speechless.
"Adrian, I don’t even know what to say to you anymore."
"Then don’t say anything!"
"Do you regret it now?" Sienna asked.
"What’s there to regret? During a trip, you’re bound to encounter unexpected events. Isn’t it a unique experience for you?" Adrian replied openly.
"Not at all! I just want everything to go smoothly, which is why we Orientans always travel with tour groups."
The more he looked at her sexy swimsuit, the more uncomfortable he felt. "Sienna Johnson, I’m telling you one last time, put your clothes on!" Adrian said with a stern tone; if Sienna didn’t listen, he would have to take action.
"How do you say we’ll get back?"
She had initially planned to use her charms to hitch a ride, but now it seemed impossible.
Adrian came over personally to help her get dressed, his actions were rough. Sienna took a step back and said, "I can do it myself."
Sienna obediently put on her dress but refused to wear the shirt. She negotiated with him, "Can I not wear it on top?"
"No!" Adrian answered without leaving any room for negotiation.
"Tyrant!"
"You’re my woman!"
Sienna couldn’t resist him and obediently buttoned the shirt, but Adrian was unsatisfied with the three undone buttons and came over to button it up to the top.
"In this hot weather, I’ll get heatstroke!"
"If you do, I’ll carry you back!"
Sienna kicked his calf angrily. His calf was hard and stiff like a steel plate; Adrian was fine, but her foot hurt.
"Adrian, you should be glad I’m not a feminist, or I’d definitely divorce you."
Adrian gave her a once-over to ensure nothing inappropriate was exposed, and finally set his mind at ease.
"So, what do you suggest we do?"
Adrian clammed up, not speaking. Their wallet and phone... were all left in the car. Who knew even such remote places could attract thieves?
"Let’s walk and see if we can hitch a ride."
They had no choice but to resign themselves.
Sienna obediently followed Adrian along the main road. Although there were few cars, there was still some traffic. Whenever a car drove by, it sparked some hope. Sienna held her thumb up to the cars coming from behind.
Remember, when hitchhiking abroad, use your thumb. Don’t get the finger wrong, especially not the middle one.
Unsure why, but no one was willing to give them a ride; even trucks wouldn’t stop. Later, after their arms grew tired from holding thumbs out, with no car stopping, they’d walk every kilometer and find a wide spot to rest and look for vehicles.
"Adrian, did you ever do anything silly as a child?" Sienna deliberately made conversation; otherwise, she’d go crazy from the monotony of walking.
"No!"
"Liar! How can someone never do silly things?"
"..."
"Oh, just recently, mistaking diaper liners for diapers and complaining the manufacturer was stingy with materials."
"That doesn’t count as silly!"
"If that doesn’t count as silly, then what does?"
